To All the Layers on Us is an editorial design project exploring tattoos and the controversial perspectives surrounding them—why people choose to get them and why others believe they shouldn’t.

Tattoos—permanent ink injected into the deepest layer of skin—can serve as a means of self-expression, a boost to self-esteem, or a way to define one’s identity. This book examines the layers we wear, both physically and mentally, and how tattoos become part of that personal narrative.
-> Interviewed people with tattoos and asked about their meaning, reason, satisfaction, and if they want them more.
